'Dortmund could have won 7-3' - Klopp

The coach hinted his frustration at the side's failure to convert goalscoring chances in their 2-2 draw at Hoffenheim

Jurgen Klopp expressed his frustration at Borussia Dortmund's failure to convert chances in their 2-2 draw with Hoffenheim on Saturday, suggesting they could have won 7-3.

The Schwarzgelben were 2-0 down after 38 minutes, but goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Lukasz Piszczek brought the scores level as the clock wore down.

Disallowed goals and missed gilt-edged chances were abound for the visitors and Klopp hinted at how his players could have won by a distance on another day, but praised his squad's spirit to come back to claim a point.

"Today we had an opponent who were driven and demanded that we gave everything to get a result," he told reporters after the match.

"Hoffenheim allowed us a massive amount of opportunities, but we also created plenty ourselves. We could have won 7-3, but we have not done so today.

"Our chance creation was sensational but we could not finish them.

"It was a fast-paced game. Everything was almost there. We certainly worked hard for the draw and we deserved it."

Dortmund now sit third, 12 points adrift of the Herbstmeister - winter champions - Bayern Munich, who top the Bundesliga with 44 points.
